Privacy Policy

ArborTrack is a tree measurement and inventory app for arborists and field surveyors. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is stored, and your rights over that data.

Information We Collect
Account information. If you create an account, we collect your email address. This is used solely to authenticate you and enable cloud backup and project sharing.

Tree measurement data. The core data you record in ArborTrack includes GPS coordinates, tree dimensions (diameter, height, spread), species, condition, notes, and photos. This data is yours and is created entirely by you.

Surveyor name. If you enter a name in your profile, it is saved with each tree record you create.

App preferences. Settings such as your height and whether you have completed onboarding are stored locally on your device using iOS's standard storage mechanisms.

How Your Data Is Stored
On your device. All tree records and photos are stored locally on your device first. Photos are kept in the app's private Documents folder and are not accessible to other apps.

Cloud backup. If you sign in to an ArborTrack account, your projects and tree records (excluding photos) are backed up to Supabase, a cloud database service. This enables you to share projects with teammates and access your data across devices. You can delete your account at any time from within the app, which permanently removes all cloud-stored data.

Project Sharing
ArborTrack allows you to invite other users to view or edit your projects by email. When a project is shared:

The invited user can see the project name and all tree records within it
Photos are stored locally only and are not shared to the cloud
You can revoke access at any time from the Manage Sharing screen
Third-Party Services
ArborTrack uses Supabase (supabase.com) for account authentication and cloud data storage. Supabase processes data on servers in the United States. No other third-party services are used. ArborTrack does not include any advertising networks, analytics platforms, or tracking SDKs.

Data We Do Not Collect
We do not sell your data to any third party
We do not collect crash reports or usage analytics
We do not access your contacts, calendar, or any data outside the app
Camera and location access are used only while you are actively recording a tree — no background access
Your Rights
You can delete your ArborTrack account at any time from Profile → Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account credentials and all associated cloud data from Supabase. Local data on your device is removed when you uninstall the app.

Children's Privacy
ArborTrack is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date.
